All our sessions are planned and delivered by our BTF-trained and talented club coaches. They offer training advice and tailored sessions to help us achieve our goals and aspirations. We're also very fortunate to have world-class training facilities surrounded by beautiful (hilly!) countryside, offering us a range of training options and opportunities when it comes to running and cycling. The club has an inclusive atmosphere and we welcome aspiring athletes of all abilities to join us.
We offer 4 coached pool swimming sessions per week. We accommodate a range of abilities, and the sets are adapted by the coaches to meet the needs and capabilities of each lane. We use the GymSync app to maintain a first-come-first-served sign-up system for attending swimming. We now also offer an improver-specific Swim Development session at the Bath Leisure Centre for new triathletes. In the summer months we also make use of the beautifully clear and clean lake at Vobster (near Radstock) for Open Water swimming.
Throughout the year we offer weekly coached indoor bike (spin) sessions on Tuesday evenings. In the summer months, we also use the purpose built Odd Down sports ground cycle track for coached brick sessions and club duathlons.
Coached runs take place every Thursday evening, either around Bath city centre, or up at the University STV. These runs can include intervals, hill reps, 'long steadies' or other timed elements to keep everyone on their toes! We also regularly make use of the Bath Skyline Parkrun; a free event open to all runners every Saturday morning.
In addition to our swim, bike and run sessions, we also provide a weekly Strength and Conditioning class (small charge per session). In the summer, we hold monthly Club Aquathlons (swim-run) and Duathlons (run-bike-run) which are free to all members. Participants in these fun and friendly events can earn points for improvement over the series, with a prize for the 'Most Improved Member' awarded at the annual AGM.
